| We are keeping busy this summer with our raspberry
plants from Aunt Alice and Uncle John Ojala. This spring, the single
violet lilacs bloomed from Great Grandma Alina's garden, to Grandma Ruth's
house, to Aunt Alice's farm, to our garden here at "Fruit Valley Ranch."
(I tell people who visit that we have fourth generation lilacs.) We recently had vinyl siding put on the house. Paul has been painting the rain gutters and the garage door to match. We chose a cream color with white trim. Paul calls it "Disneyland Cream" because it is bright and cheerful like most of the buildings at our favorite amusement park. Loralie substitutes for music and elementary classes occasionally in the local school district. She also has a couple of piano students who take lessons here at our home. Paul has ten years of service at the VA as a licensed practical nurse. He continues to enjoy and be challenged by his job. |
